Whale Watching Cruise Vacation Package

Fisherman's Wharf offers year-round whale watching trips to observe the spectacular diversity and abundance of whales and dolphins inhabiting the Bay.

The Lighthouse Lodge & Suites has put together an exclusive online discount package. Now you can make reservations online and avoid the lines for tickets to observe the seasonal migration of Gray Whales past the Bay.

Monterey is the best place in the nation to view a variety of marine mammals and seabirds. The Monterey Submarine Canyon approaches close to the shore, allowing deep water species of whales, dolphins, and seabirds to occur near the coast. Shallow water species, such as the
gray whale, are found very close to shore in the narrow shelf region.

Cruises depart at 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm daily from Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf. You will frequently observe a large variety of creatures on this 1 1/2 to 2 hour trip.

The Discount Whale Watching package includes:
• Whale Watching tickets from Fisherman's Wharf
• Complimentary breakfast each morning
• Afternoon reception
• Boxed lunches
• Choice of charming bed & breakfast Suite or family Lodge room
• Heated pool and Jacuzzi® spa for the whole family

The entire population of Gray Whales migrates past the Monterey coastline twice a year. Once when going south to the lagoons of Mexico (late fall-early winter) and once again when returning to Alaska (late winter-early spring).

Gray whales typically live more than 50 years. They are thought to often live as long as we do.
